Premier League next manager sacked 2022-23: Erik ten Hag exit odds SLASHED after ‘worst’ Man Utd defeat

BETFAIR has sensationally reduced the chances of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag being the first Premier League boss to leave his position.

The Dutchman was available on 33/1 for the start of the 2022-23 season, but is now offered on 13/2 after Saturday’s humiliating 4-0 defeat to Brentford.

Ten Hag, 52, watched as Brentford put in a stunning first-half performance, scoring four goals in the opening 35 minutes.

The defeat was United’s seventh straight away from Old Trafford and the seventh time since the start of last season that they have conceded at least four goals in a league game.

Ten Hag became the first manager in 101 years to lose his first two official games as manager of Red Devils.

After the game, he had to apologize to the club’s supporters and criticize the performance of his players.

He said: “It’s pretty clear it’s rubbish, it’s poor and we need higher standards than that and it’s clear.

“I can bring up different things, but those seem like excuses. And there is not that at the top that we have to deliver and we have not done that.”

Betfair spokesman Sam Rosbottom added: “We have witnessed one of the worst halves of Premier League football in Manchester United history.

“The red wines have really been stung by the Bees and things are not looking good for Erik ten Hag.

“It’s safe to say it’s been a disastrous start for the new United boss, who, in 180 minutes of Premier League football, has seen his chances of being the first manager to drop his role to 13/2 after he had been 33/1 for the game at the start of the season.”

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is 2/1 favorite for the AX after their 2-2 draw with Leeds.

Saints was beaten 4-1 by Tottenham on the opening day of the season, but managed to recover a two-goal deficit at St Mary’s.

Everton’s Frank Lampard is next at 10/3 after their 2-1 loss to Aston Villa.

The Toffees are futile after their games against Chelsea and Aston Villa, but supporters have seen signs of improvement.

Think YOU know which Premier League managers won’t last the season? Betfair has a new market for that!

Punters can now combine which top bosses they think will leave their club before the last day of the 2022-2023 season.

Ten managers were sent home during the 2021-22 season and it could be a similar number this year with the stakes at an all-time high.

Example: Frank Lampard, Marco Silva, Scott Parker and Thomas Tuchel all leave before the final game of the season is offered on 12/1. A £10 bet would pay off £124!
