Premier League Score and Latest Updates

Ggood afternoon, I hope you have a quiet and/or enjoyable Sunday. You join us for a much anticipated clash in the Premier League between two teams who are both hoping to finish in the top four, perhaps at the expense of their London neighbours. Chelsea welcome Tottenham to Stamford Bridge; it is warm in the capital and the kick-off is at 4.30 pm.

Tottenham got off to an impressive start to the season with a 4-1 win over Southampton. Ryan Sessegnon scored his first PL goal for Spurs, and best old Eric Dier also made it onto the scoresheet, as did Dejan Kulusevski. Tottenham also benefited from an own goal. A satisfying start, not least as they had to come from behind before scoring four times without an answer.

Chelsea also started their season with a win, scoring the only goal from the spot in a messy affair at Goodison. Thomas Tuchel took the opportunity to introduce summer signings Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling.

More good news for fans of crisis club Manchester United. Their main transfer target would rather come to London than Manchester. A mystery, I know.

Frenkie de Jong wants Chelsea to bring further blow to Manchester United

According to our expert, Mike McGrath, the player sees his future at Chelsea.

However, that could be even more bad news for a few likeable and talented young bucks on the Bridge.

Tuchel has warned Conor Gallagher and Callum Hudson-Odoic that their way to the first team is still full of obstacles.

As for Spurs, there is quite a bit of atmosphere around the club and the feeling that this might just be the season where they move up in the world. However, Jamie Caragher urges everyone not to get carried away just yet.
