Prince Andrew was seen smiling as he rode his horse, just hours after the sentencing of Ghislaine Maxwell.

The 60-year-old was jailed for 20 years after her role as Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice.

Maxwell helped get underage financiers and vulnerable women for the shameful financier.

During a court hearing, victims described the social member as a ‘monster’ and said she ‘opened the door to hell’.

Andrew, who has known Maxwell since the two studied at Oxford University together, was photographed today after her sentencing.

He was seen today riding in his Range Rover and riding a brown horse with a big smile on his face.

The infamous royal became embroiled in the Epstein scandal after being accused of sexual abuse by Virginia Guiffre, who said his sex was traded to him by the financier.

She claimed she was forced to have sex with Andrew three times in 2001, with the first encounter allegedly taking place in Maxwell’s London town hall.

Andrew repeatedly denied the allegations and reached an out-of-court settlement with Roberts earlier this year.

The duke’s friendship and numerous trips abroad with Maxwell and Epstein were investigated amid the scandal.

In February 1999, Andrew and Maxwell traveled with the financier’s private jet to Epstein’s private Caribbean island.

That same year, the Duke presented the pair at Balmoral, the Queen’s estate in Scotland.

In his infamous Newnight interview with Emily Maitlis, Andrew said a visit by Maxwell and Epstein to his mother’s Sandringham estate in 2000 was a ‘straight shooting weekend’.

After Maxwell’s sentencing, lawyers asked for other Epstein collaborators to be investigated, including Andrew.

Brad Edwards, who helped secure Duke of York sex prosecutor Virginia Giuffre a £ 12 million out-of-court settlement, called on the FBI not to stop his investigation.

Asked about others possibly linked to Maxwell and Epstein, he said: ‘Let’s hope they are the next target. If we have anything to do with it, they will be. ‘

Since his role in the Epstein scandal emerged, Andrew has resigned from royal duties and been deprived of his military titles and protection.

He may even have his Duke of York title removed under a proposed law tabled in Parliament.

Rachael Maskell, Labor MP for York Central, said her city’s voters were ashamed to be associated with the shameful royal.

Her proposed removal title could affect not only Prince Andrew but also peers in the House of Lords.

Ms Maskell said: ‘There are no mechanisms in place, even for the monarch, to remove the title.

‘Back in February, when we focused on the court case brought against Andrew, my constituents replied that 80% of people wanted the connection with the current Duke of York to be severed.

“And that’s why I met with the clerks here in the Commons to see how this can be achieved.”
