Prince Charles says climate change is ‘absolutely essential’
It has been claimed that Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridgee, could join Prince Charless and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, during their reign due to their popularity among younger generations. The Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden claimed that the future of the Firm could be in trouble if Charles rules alone.
He told Palace Confidential on MailPlus: “The public is just not very interested in Charles and Camilla and that is a problem.

“For an institution that relies on public support, I think that’s a real problem and why we’re going to see some sort of joint government with William and Catherine.”
A joint government could allow Charles to enjoy his retirement and William to spend time with his young family.
In answer, express.co.uk held a poll from Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m. to Sunday, July 24 at noon, asking readers, “Should Charles and William rule jointly?”

Some readers suggested that a joint monarchy should be considered if William and Charles could support each other.
Username Anna Sozzlebry said: “It’s definitely something to think about.
“Depends on what William and Catherine think, maybe they want to wait a bit until Prince George reaches his teens.”
And username Gail54 said, “I think it’s a great idea now that Charles is moving on. Together they will be great as one, I’m sure.”
However, other readers argued that this was contrary to the line of succession and would not be a viable concept.
Username Goldielover said, “No. That’s not how follow-up works. This wakeism must be stopped.”
Another, username Wokehater, said, “It’s Charles’s right to rule next, leave it at that.”
William and Charles have risen together to support the Queen, as her age and mobility issues have kept her from missing any performances in recent months.

And username petitprinteps said, “No, Prince Charles and Prince William have different styles. For now, let William support Charles until his turn. Prince William is in no rush to receive the crown.
Still, some readers told Charles to step aside and give William the throne.
Username Gandalf The Gray said, “No. Charles must step aside for William.”
Another, username Rick Smith wrote, “No, Charles must step aside for the sake of the monarchy.”
Royal pundit Jennie Bond rejected this idea earlier this year, claiming there is “no chance” of William becoming king and not Charles.
She said Charles is the “best educated monarch we’ve ever had” and that he wants “the top job”.
She added: “Suggestions that the crown should skip a generation are good, good.”
