Prince William and Kate Middleton ‘being summoned’ to Windsor over Queen’s resistance | Royal | News

The Queen is thought to be concerned after Prince William and Kate “challenged” her orders earlier this week. Royal expert Neil Sean’s extraordinary claim comes after the Cambridge family was spotted on a short helicopter vacation. William and Kate and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis all traveled together, along with their new dog Orla.

However, Sean pointed out that it is royal protocol that members of the royal family travel in separate planes.

He also quoted an earlier report in the Daily Mail claiming that for security reasons, the Queen had “talked quite firmly to William about this and urged him not to fly the helicopter at all”.

The royal expert told viewers: “It appears that Prince William and Catherine have disobeyed orders from the Queen.

“This week they were seen aboard a helicopter in the rear of Kensington Palace enjoying a short break.”

He continued: “This made the Queen concerned. It is royal protocol that people travel on separate planes for very obvious security reasons.

‘Apparently the Queen has spoken with William quite firmly about this. But on this occasion, it may have slipped his mind.

“When Prince William and Catherine return from their short vacation, they will be called to Windsor to explain the cause of their actions.”

Six months ago, the Queen had “several conversations” with William, asking him “to stop flying himself, especially in bad weather,” fearing an accident could threaten the line of succession, according to the Daily Mail.
