PSV Eindhoven would like to bind Ibrahim Sangare to a new contract, amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder has captured the attention of a range of clubs, including Newcastle United and Leicester City also linked to a move for him.

The daily email reports that the new Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag is a big fan of Sangare and follows his progress in the Eredivisie closely.

Despite strong interest in the Ivory Coast international, no club has yet made an offer for him and PSV are looking to sign him a new and improved contract to stave off interest from the Premier League.

New deal or not, if an important offer does come from one of his English admirers, it is unlikely that PSV can hold on to him.

The Mail’s report says a bid of around £31million would be enough to take over Sangare this summer.

Sangare made it clear in May in De Telegraaf that he is looking forward to a switch to the Premier League.

He said: ”I am a PSV player and I am concentrating on the three games we have left this season.

‘I don’t have my mind on other things. After that I will go on vacation and have time to talk about possible next projects. But until then, I don’t want to worry about that.

“Playing in the Premier League is not just a dream of mine, but a dream of every footballer. That is the largest and most important competition in the world.’
