Putin Spy Plot Destroyed: Secret Agent, 60, Unmasked | World | News

Kiev has detained a Russian agent who was collecting information about the location of military equipment, checkpoints and critical infrastructure. The 60-year-old Ukrainian woman had committed espionage in both the capital and the wider region.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) revealed that an incident had occurred on the cross-platform social media outlet Telegram.

They said: “The enemy planned to use this data to target missile attacks, as well as for possible sabotage in Kiev.”

SSU added: “The 60-year-old citizen of Ukraine received orders from its trustees from the Russian Federation and provided them with photos and geolocations of military facilities.”

The woman has been held under treason.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

SSU also said: “Measures to uncover and document illegal activities were carried out by SBU employees in Kiev city and the Kiev region under the procedural direction of the Kiev Public Prosecutor’s Office.”

However, it is not only in Ukraine where Russian spies appear to have been detained.

Richard Moore, the head of MI6, claimed: “We think in the UK this probably cut their ability to do their business to spy for Russia in Europe by half.”

“Russia gives priority to capturing critical national infrastructure, such as power plants.”

The Defense Ministry added: “However, it is also likely trying to break through in Vuhlehirska, as part of its efforts to regain momentum on the southern pincer of its advance towards the key cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.”
