The Russian president said on Friday that political pressure from the West was forcing Russia to speed up its integration with neighboring Belarus.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said last week that the two countries needed to take urgent joint action to improve their defense capabilities and troops’ combat readiness.
