Defending champion Max Verstappen looks set to walk away with the 2022 Formula 1 championship. Another win in Montreal – his fifth in six races – extending his lead to 46 points over teammate Sergio Perez and 49 over Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

When is it?

The 2022 British Grand Prix will run from Friday July 1 to Sunday July 3.

What time does it start?

The first practice on Friday, July 1, starts at 1:00 PM BST and the second practice at 4:00 PM the same day. The last practice on Saturday 2 July is at 12 noon, with qualifying at 3 p.m.

The British Grand Prix itself is on Sunday 3rd July at 3pm BST.

What TV channel is it on?

Sky Sports F1 has almost exclusive live coverage rights in the UK this year and indeed for the next few with their usual excellent team.

However, the British Grand Prix is ​​the only race that Channel 4 also has live coverage of.

Stay tuned for full details, but we expect Sky and Channel 4 qualifying coverage to start about an hour before the session starts, with race coverage about 90 minutes before the lights go out.
