Rachel Riley remained tickled after having to spell an awkward word about Countdown yesterday.
The moment came during the first round of yesterday’s competition when contestants Thomas and Mike introduced themselves and chose their letters.
Not long after they made their selection, an interesting looking combination started to form on the board.
The Essex-born television host, 36, then glanced into the camera with a cheeky smile at the letters I, N, V, A, A and G, and soon realized they could be used to spell ‘vagina’. .

When time ran out for both contestants, the first said “vagina” to Rachel and the second said “vaginas.” She stood at the board and grinned
The last set of letters were I, N, V, A, A, G, S, U and K and host Colin Murray had asked Thomas what his word was after the clock had run out.
He said “vagina” but when Colin asked Mike what his word was, he replied “vaginas.”
Colin, obviously tickled by the funny moment, said, “Vaginas, well there you go, putting an s at the end, what a difference that makes.
‘Always plural. Pluralize everything, and there you go.’
The moment failed the onlookers and they laughed along as Riley raised an eyebrow.
