Empire confirmed the GT Neo5 will be the first smartphone with 240W fast charging, and now we know it will be announced on February 9. The brand revealed that the launch will take place at 2pm local time in China.
Official information on the phone is sparse, but we’ve got plenty of rumors of reliable goodies. The GT Neo5 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, although we may see a version with Dimensity 8200 which supports “only” 150W fast charging.
Other reports mentioned a 50MP main camera with an IMX890 sensor and OIS, something we’ve seen on co-brand Oppo and its Find N2 and Reno9 Pro+ smartphones. The screen is likely to be 6.7-inch AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels.
