The Realme GT2 Explorer Master is expected on July 12 with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The company today revealed more of its specs that lead us to believe that it will indeed be a mighty phone – the GT2 Explorer Master will be the world’s first with LPDDR5X RAM.
In other posts on Weibo, Realme also confirmed that the GT2 Explorer Master will have a metal frame and a 10-bit display with HDR10+ and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The LPDDR5X RAM offers faster speeds, up to 8.5 Gbps, compared to LPDDR5’s 6.4 Gbps. The new standard also consumes 20% less power, making it a win-win situation. Currently, Samsung was the first company to start producing such chips, built on the 14nm process, and now US-based Micron is also in the mix.
The Realme GT2 Explorer Master’s screen has more than 16,000 levels of automatic brightness for a good “eye protection” experience, according to official reports. The front panel has an ultra-thin bezel on the bottom of just 2.37mm.
The official launch is next week and we expect Realme to tease even more features in the days leading up to the event.
