The star returned to Albert Square in an explosive storyline after the murder of one of EastEnders’ most beloved characters – Barry.
Janine not only killed Barry on his honeymoon in the Scottish Highlands, but also killed fourth husband Michael Moon, tried to repel second husband Ryan Malloy, fatally drove over Ronnie Mitchell’s long-lost daughter Danielle, tried to cheat on the Mitchell family and spanked nemesis Stacey Slater for attempted murder.
And she had sex with Ian Beale while working as an escort.
In 2014, viewers saw Janine leave Walford and go to Paris to be with daughter Scarlett, who was shunned by Albert Square residents for getting away with the murder of husband Michael.
Seven years later, she went back to the square and fought to get Scarlett back into her life.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing though as she is currently embroiled in a huge storyline with Mick and Linda Carter.
Janine has set up Linda for drink driving and was in fact driving the car when it crashed.
To make it look like Linda was behind the wheel, she dragged her unconscious body through the car, leaving her with baby Annie at the wheel covered in vodka.
When Linda awoke from her coma, she couldn’t remember what had happened and her family thought she admitted to drunk driving with baby Annie and abandoned her.
