Prince Harry’s foray into television since his departure from frontline royal life has received mixed reviews. The couple have multiple projects about their lives in the works, but the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming book could be a gut feeling the royals don’t need.
Commentator Guy Martin told Forbes: “At first glance, at least there is no money-making content from Archewell’s for-profit content weapons.
Facing intense problems of its own, Netflix, which has been bitten deep into the Windsors or Montecito venture with a reported $100 million, just canceled Ms. Markle’s lone show Pearl, an animated film nearing production.
But despite the hurdles in television production, Prince Harry’s much-anticipated all-encompassing book could put his family, especially his brother Prince William, in an “intensive battle” akin to Oprah Winfrey’s debacle.
Martin said the public and the royal family don’t expect that “Harry’s new book, which sums up his young life thus far, will also be a bouquet of feel-good daisies for his family.”
