The 16-month-old dog died in Crowe’s arms on Thursday after being hit by a truck, the actor said on social media.

He described Louis as “little, sassy, brave” and said “he won my heart.”
Crowe’s father John Alexander died in March 2021 at the age of 85.
“I came back to the bush last night. Today, though the sun is shining and the torrential rain has abated, this date will forever be tinged with sadness. My dear old man, my beautiful father, the most gentle man, has passed away” , Crowe wrote on social media on the day of his father’s death.
Speaking to Kiss FM’s Kyle and Jackie breakfast radio show Friday morning, he said he was “devastated” about his puppy’s passing.
“He was such a beautiful little pup,” Crowe told the hosts. “It’s going to take some time to get past.”
The puppy features prominently on Crowe’s social media.
Last December, the actor posted a photo of him and little Louis in matching Ralph Lauren polo shirts on Twitter.
“I’m not a fan of dog dressing at all, but a friend bought little Louis an @RalphLauren polo so he can match with Dad. I think the other dogs on the farm will get jealous. Pretty cool, ” He wrote.
The actor also has a Blue Heeler puppy.
