Attacks in Russia have exposed the country’s vulnerabilities in areas near Ukraine that are important to its military logistics chains.
Ukraine’s presidential adviser, Mykhailo Podolyak, said: “If you [Russians] If you decide to attack another country en masse, murder everyone there en masse, crush peaceful people en masse with tanks and use warehouses in your regions to make the killings possible, then sooner or later the debts will have to be repaid.”
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) alleged in April that Russian soldiers carried out a hoax attack on Klimovo to blame the Ukrainians.
SBU officials said the agency intercepted a phone call between a Russian soldier and his wife admitting that the reported strike was staged by the Kremlin as a provocation used to justify Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
