Ukrainians have claimed that another Russian general was killed in his latest rocket attack on Kremlin forces.
Chief of Staff of the 22nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Major General Artem Nasbulin, is said to have been killed in the attack on a mobile command post in Tavriis’k, Kherson Oblast.
Footage released by Ukraine shows US-donated High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems — hitting targets up to 50 miles away — being attacked near the Nova Kakhovka power station.
It is also reported to have struck, removing the ammunition from the Kremlin and 200 Russian soldiers.
Before the arrival of the light multiple rocket launcher, HIMARS, the Russian-occupied southern city of Kherson was out of reach for Ukrainian forces.
It was also used in a previous attack near Kherson in which a total of 12 Russian officers, including a colonel, were reported to have been killed when US-supplied missiles hit their command post.

An adviser to the head of Kherson’s regional administration, Serhiy Hlan, told the press that Ukrainian armed forces had hit an ammunition depot in Novaya Kakhovk.
Serhiy Bratchuk, the spokesman for the head of Odessa’s regional military administration, told his followers on Telegram that a HIMARS missile hit and General Nasbulin was killed.
“There is information about the assassination of another Russian general after HIMARS missiles hit the headquarters in the Kherson region. The Chief of Staff of the 22nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Military Unit 73954, Simferopol) Major General Nasbulin has gone to war,” he wrote.
Sergey Khlan, adviser to the head of Kherson’s regional military administration, said: “According to preliminary information, the noises heard at night in Kakhovka and nearby are a clear hit by our armed forces in Tavriis’k.
“We destroyed a moving enemy command point, military equipment, radars and antennas, air defenses deploying orcs. There are 200 Russians.’
Twelve Russian officers are also said to have been killed in a single missile strike as Ukrainian forces inflict punitive losses with US-supplied weapons.
The attack targeted a command post at Chornobaivka airport, near the occupied southern city of Kherson, and is rumored to have killed at least one general and one colonel. It is thought to have been carried out with US HIMARS missiles.
Video shows what appears to be an ammunition depot on the base exploding, as Russian Telegram channels report that Putin is outraged at the inability of Russia’s S-400 anti-aircraft systems to protect his forces.
Experts also question Ukraine’s ability to launch a successful counterattack with current resources, but the defense minister suggested it will happen soon.

Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said yesterday: “This is very necessary for our country. The president has given the order.
“We have about 700,000 in the armed forces and if you add the National Guard, police and border guards, we are about a million strong.”
Most of these troops are already involved in Ukraine’s attempt to defend its small remaining territory in the eastern Donbas region, and so could not be used in a counter-offensive there and elsewhere.
The country’s international allies and NATO military advisers have recommended that it bid its time and build up its arsenal of weapons donated by the West.
But expectations of a Ukrainian recovery were fueled further when Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk urged citizens to evacuate before the country’s troops attacked.

She said, ‘There must be no women and children there and they must not become human shields. There will be massive fighting. Our troops are dismayed.’
Collecting more missile systems, drones and missiles will be crucial. In recent days, long-range missiles have proved highly effective, destroying multiple enemy ammunition stockpiles and command and control centers.
Even Russian state television news outlets were forced to acknowledge the recent successes, with one saying that Ukraine had “struck our decision-making centers several times with success.”
Plans for the counter-attack emerged as the number of Ukrainians entering European Union countries reportedly passed six million, although three million have returned home.
