Mane admits he wanted a “new challenge”, which was the reason behind his decision to leave the Merseyside club.
He said: “It’s obviously strange – really strange – not to be a Liverpool player anymore.
“But of course I had a great time, an incredible time. We have won a lot.
“My life is always (roughly) a challenge and when the time came I told the club I want to leave, I want to go somewhere else to see a new challenge.

“It’s not something else, it’s just a challenge because for me I always want to challenge myself to get better and better.”
And Mane is immediately set to work preparing for the season at Bayern Munich, while he worked up a sweat in Palma de Mallorca without a shirt.
Mane took part in some agility exercises and also did some ball handling.
Bayern are expected to play two games for the season in the US in July.
