Yesterday there was a rumor that Samsung is using the Galaxy Watcha wearable designed to compete directly with the Apple Watch Ultra 2. This used to be called the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra in another rumor.
And now it looks like it won't be called any of these things, but Samsung has gone with the Galaxy Watch Ultra. This was revealed through the TDRA certification process in the UAE, as you can see in the screenshot below.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra has the model number SM-L705F and has mobile connectivity in this variant. The FCC listing tells us it supports 10W charging.
The Watch Ultra will reportedly have a round matte body with a circular 1.5-inch screen and a rotating bezel. There will be three buttons on the right and a large speaker grille on the left.
It is rumored to support 10ATM/100 meters water resistance and 100 hours of battery life. That would be an insane leap forward for Wear OS – so far the best we've seen from Samsung is the claimed 80-hour battery life Galaxy Watch5 Pro. By the way, the Galaxy Watch Ultra comes with a battery with a nominal capacity of 578 mAh, which will eventually be marketed with a typical capacity of 600 mAh.
It will be powered by the new Exynos W1000 SoCand will be official in July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7 family, the Galaxy Watch FE / Galaxy Watch4 2024and the Galaxy ring.
