The mid-range segment priced between Rs 20,000 and 30,000 is witnessing a 60% growth in the smartphone industry.
The target group for the Galaxy F55 5G is substantial. “There are a large number of consumers with 4G handsets who are looking to upgrade to a 5G device in this price range. In addition, there are entry-level 5G users and users who are currently in the Rs 12,000-15,000 segment and are aiming to upgrade to a better smartphone,” Raju PullanSenior Vice President, MX Division, Samsung India told ETTelecom in an interview.
“Samsung has emerged at the forefront as the smartphone company has a complete range of 5G products starting from around Rs 13,000 and tied to Samsung Finance Plus to finance the smartphones, which has been a huge success. We have launched nine 5G handsets this year,” said Pullan.
The early adoption of 5G is crucial for the growth of the mobile industry as a whole. “We are leading in the 5G segment with a market share of 26.6 percent. The success of our strategy in India revolves around product differentiation, a robust 5G approach and affordability through Samsung Finance Plus,” the executive added.
The smartphone packs features like a Super AMOLED+ display, powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor, and 45W super fast charging. The phone has been launched at a price of Rs 26999.
