SANDER BERGE’s Wikipedia page has been edited to claim the Sheffield United star has completed a move to Newcastle.
Berge, 24, is tipped for a staggering deadline to move away from Bramall Lane.
And Newcastle is reportedly leading the race for his signature.
Eddie Howe is a big fan of Berge as he wants to increase his options in midfield.
The Toon boss is willing to pay £20 million as he seeks to replace Nottingham Forest-bound Jonjo Shelvey.
And Berge wasn’t on the Blades’ team because of their dramatic performance FA Cup tie against Wrexham on Sunday.
However, the Norway international’s Wikipedia page has already been changed to claim he has moved to St James’ Park.
On Tuesday morning it said ‘Newcastle United’ under Berge’s ‘current team’.
But Toon fans won’t be counting their chickens until there’s an official announcement.
Berge has also been linked with Liverpool this month.

However, it is now thought that Jurgen Klopp has it on a move for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante instead.
Looking back on Berge’s future, Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom said on Sunday: “He’s not here because we’ve been asked not to use him.
“Our club talks to other clubs about him. It doesn’t mean he’s going anywhere, Sander is happy here.
“But the situation we are in halfway through the acquisition, transfer embargo, no clarity on which way to go and financial problems.
“One way to solve the problems is to sell a player. Everyone knows my opinion about it.”
