The striker is one of those on the Hammers’ shortlist this summer as they look to strengthen in forward areas to provide competition for Michael Antonio. David Moyes faced a thin squad last season and is determined to have a set of players better equipped for a frenetic campaign.
Scamacca was previously linked with a move to Arsenal, but with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus, they are unlikely to sign another striker to the Emirates this summer.
West Ham in talks with Sassuolo about a possible deal for Scamacca, but they face competition from PSG, who are also eyeing the 23-year-old.
Carnevali has provided an update on the situation, revealing that West Ham have submitted a better deal than the Ligue 1 side, but Sassuolo is still not under pressure to sell their man.
“West Ham is offering €40 million for Scamacca and Paris Saint-Germain is offering €35 million,” said Carnevali.
“There are also some add-ons as difference. We don’t have to sell, so we’ll see – there is no agreement with any club now.”
West Ham will step up their search for strikers this week. with Chelsea forward Armando Broja one of the club’s main goals.
