When Autumn Eyles, seven, received a ‘glowing’ report from her sophomore teachers at Wingrave Church of England School in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, she took it upon herself to return the favor: by writing her own report card for her teachers.

“She’s always busy writing, making books, writing stories, always involving someone she knows,” mother Caroline Eyles, 39, tells Metro.co.uk.

“But as I lay my son down, I let her in my bed where she was writing, and when I came in, she told me she had written this one. [report cards] for the teachers.

“I was just reading them and I was like, ‘oh, wow’.

“She told me she gave them reports ‘as they did me,’ and asked if she could give them to her teachers the next day.”

Caroline says she doesn’t know why Autumn decided to write her teachers’ reports.

“She obviously just thought this was what you do: they give you a report and you give them a report,” she explains.

The youngster called one of her teachers, who is currently pregnant, a “superstar.”

On her impromptu report, complete with an illustration, Autumn wrote, “Dear Ms. Neaves, I bet you’re struggling with your baby but you’re a superstar with it so I’m excited for what it is and you’re getting good at the class.” still to learn.’

She wrote to her headteacher: ‘Dear Mr Tomsen, you have been the headteacher for so long and I think that’s a tough job, so I think you should go to the beach and take a break from school because you’ve been working. so hard.’

She went on to say that she was impressed by Mr Tomsen’s hard work and that he should be too.

Fortunately, Autumn’s teachers were ‘very touched’ by her reports and found them ‘very funny’.

Mr Tomsen said: ‘It was a very nice gesture and I always appreciate getting feedback from the children.’

Ms Neaves added: ‘What teacher wouldn’t want to be called a superstar?’

Although Autumn’s report card reversal was a bold move, in the end she just wanted to make her teachers happy and show her appreciation.

“Autumn is such a nice girl, but I didn’t expect her kindness to extend to teachers,” Caroline says. ‘But actually she might be on to something – maybe the teachers should get a report every year too?

“Autumn is a very astute girl and loves to make people feel good and I’m really proud of her.”
