What time does it start?

First practice on Friday 1 July starts at 13:00 BST with second practice at 16:00 the same day. Final practice on Saturday 2 July is at 12:00, with qualifying at 15:00.

The British Grand Prix itself is at 15:00 BST on Sunday 3 July.

On which TV channel is it?

Sky Sports F1 has almost exclusive live coverage rights in the UK this year and indeed for the next couple with their usual excellent team.

However, the British Grand Prix is ​​the one race where Channel 4 also has live coverage.

Both Sky and Channel 4’s coverage of qualifying starts on Saturday at 14:10, with the build – up to the race itself starting faster and faster on both channels from 13:30 on Sunday.
