There are fears about it Roy Cropper's (David Neilson) living in Kroningsstraat after evil terrorist Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) entered his cell.
Griff, as fans of the ITV soap knows, was the leader of a far-right extremist group that provided Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) to making racist propaganda videos.
Him later planted a bomb in a van outside the Pakistani street food restaurant Speed Daal which drove away Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) before it exploded.
Another teen recruited into the gang was Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), who went missing at the end of February. Being the last person to see her alive, Roy was quickly implicated in her apparent murder and didn't make it easy on himself.
Although he insists on his innocence, his naivety has drawn neighbors and internet sleuths into action question his unusual behavior.
At one point he was attacked by two heavies who knew Lauren's father, another of Griff's gang members.
This week we will finally find out who was behind Lauren's apparent murder.
Interestingly enough, the show teased a death for Roy at both the start of yesterday's and tonight's (May 28) episodes due to with the same piece of classical music which played when his wife Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh) committed suicide ten years ago.

The instrumental piece can be heard in the opening scenes of both episodes, as a cup of coffee and a book slowly fall to the floor in his prison cell.
