It seems that it will come out many years later EA will have you try new skates in a closed play session.

At least officially, it’s been a while since I last heard something about Skating 4. Some of the early footage was leaked online in April, but was only 30 seconds long.

Recently, the official behind-the-scenes footage was shared by EA and the developer Full Circle. The bad news is that Skate 4 (or just called Skate) is still a few years away and the gameplay is from pre-pre-pre-alpha builds.

Fortunately, EA has announced that it will run an insider play test. This means that regular fans can try out the game and give feedback to the developers.

However, this is not a public test. Not only do you need to sign up for EA’s Insider Program to participate, but there is no guarantee that you will be selected for any of the playtest sessions.

Playtests are only available on Origin via PC, so if you manage to get involved, you’ll also need an EA Origin account. Platforms will be added over time, but at this time it is not exactly known on which console Skate 4 will be released.

Given the early stages of Skate 4 development, EA does not call these sessions beta or alpha testing.

“We are in the very early stages of Skate’s development, getting players into the game much faster than industry standards,” admits on the FAQ page.

“We are very passionate about skating and want to make sure we are building the best possible game, so we make meaningful decisions and changes ahead of the global launch. I want you to play fast enough and provide feedback. “

Not surprisingly, EA emphasizes that people who participate in playtests do not share information about playtests, such as reviews, social media, and recorded footage.

Still, I’m completely hoping that someone will violate these rules and leak information. The April leak is already evidence of that, and has happened earlier in other closed play tests like Ubisoft’s Skull & Bones.

If you want to play Skating 4 faster, you can sign up for EA’s Insider Program from the official website.
