Today, Sony announced a new series of gaming hardware, Inzone. The products on sale are two monitors and three headsets. Inzone products are designed to provide an immersive gaming experience on both PC and PlayStation 5.
Sony Inzone M9 and M3 Gaming Monitor
Both are 27-inch gaming monitors with IPS LCD panels. The Inzone M9 has a resolution of 4K and a refresh rate of 144Hz (120Hz via HDMI). Use full array local dimming to improve dynamic contrast. The peak is 600 nits bright and is VESA Display HDR 600 certified. In addition, this monitor has 95% DCI-P3 coverage.

The Sony Inzone M3 drops to 1080p resolution, but the refresh rate increases to 240Hz (including via HDMI). The panel is an edge light and has a peak brightness of 400 nits (DisplayHDR400). This display provides 99% sRGB coverage.

Both displays are factory tuned to achieve color accuracy goals. It also supports HDR10 and HLG type HDR. As for refresh rates, it supports G-Sync and HDMI 2.1VRR with variable refresh rates (minimum 24Hz). It also boasts a gray-to-gray transition time of 1 millisecond.
Both monitors are equipped with two HDMI inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4. In addition, it has a built-in USB hub. One Type-B comes in and three USB Type-A come out. These are ideal for connecting keyboards, mice and controllers, as the built-in KVM feature switches USB connections to track video inputs.
This will allow you to connect both your PC and your PlayStation 5. There are some PS5-specific features such as automatic HDR tone mapping and automatic genre image mode (such as switching to cinema mode when showing a movie). There are also PC features such as dedicated PC software that allows you to fine-tune all monitor settings.
With both monitor stands, you can adjust the height and tilt for maximum comfort. The central pillar acts as a cable channel to keep things clean. There is also an RGB LED strip on the back of the M9 to match the lighting settings.
The Sony Inzone M9 can be pre-ordered for $ 900 / € 1,100 / £ 1,000 (to be available this summer). The Inzone M3 will be available for $ 530 by the end of this year.
Sony Inzone H9, H7, H3 Gaming Headphones
These three share the same external design, but offer different capabilities to suit your needs and budget. The first two are wireless and the H3 is a wired headset.
When you hear “wireless,” you may be frustrated. The H9 and H7 support Bluetooth, but are best used with the included USB dongle, which allows for low latency connections above 2.4GHz. Headphones can connect to both dongles and smartphones (via Bluetooth), making it easy to answer incoming calls.
Boom mics provide excellent audio quality for in-game voice chat and are easy to control. Tilt down to speak, tilt up to mute. There is a hardware button to change the audio balance between game audio and voice chat.
All three headphones support 360 Spatial Sound. It can be activated by the Inzone Hub PC software, which also includes an algorithm to convert 2-channel stereo to 7.1-channel surround sound. There is a 360 SpatialSoundPersonalizer app for smartphones.
The Sony Inzone H9 supports active noise cancellation and has a dedicated button for switching between ambient sound modes (100Hz to 8,000Hz). Headphones can be played for 32 hours with ANC turned off.
Inzone H7 does not have ANC. On the plus side, battery life is longer than 40 hours. Both the H9 and H7 have a 40mm driver (EDCCA voice coil with neodymium magnets) and a frequency response of 5Hz to 20,000Hz.

The Inzone H3 doesn’t have to worry about the battery. These headphones also have a 40mm driver (CCAW voice coil with neodymium magnets, 35 ohm impedance) with a frequency response of 10Hz to 20,000Hz.
All three headsets can be pre-ordered and can be found on Sony’s official websites, Amazon and Best Buy. The Inzone H9 is priced at $ 300 / € 300 / £ 270, the H7 is priced at $ 230 / € 230 / £ 200, and the H3 is priced at $ 100 / € 100 / £ 90.
