The new TWS offering offers active noise cancellation with adaptive sound control that tailors the noise cancellation to your activity. The earbuds automatically switch to ambient mode when they sense you’re walking or waiting at a bus stop, so you can hear announcements and then continue to block out your ambient noise when you’re on the bus.

Each WF-C700 earbud weighs just 4.6 grams and they pair via Bluetooth 5.2 with support for the SBS and AAC audio codecs. Sony is promising multi-point pairing with a future software update expected to arrive later this summer.

The new earbuds also bring 360 Reality Audio spatial audio, DSEE sound upscaling and equalizer fine-tuning via the Headphones Connect app. You get physical buttons on each button that offer programmable single, double, and hold taps.

The earbuds promise 7.5 hours of playback with ANC on and 10 hours with ANC off. The 300mAh battery case extends these numbers to 15 hours with ANC on and 20 hours with it off.
