STACEY Solomon is candid about the challenges and realities of being part of a blended family.
The casual women star spoke about her and her husband in a podcast interview Joe Swash‘s life and how the couple had to work hard to bring their families together and make sure everyone felt safe.

The couple have two children together, Rose, born in October 2021, and three-year-old Rex.
As well as her two latest additions, former X Factor star Stacey is also a proud mother of 13-year-old Zachary and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships.
Joe’s oldest son is 13-year-old Harry, who he shares with ex-partner Emma Sophocleous.
During the podcast interview with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, Stacey delved into family life at her beloved Pickle Cottage, the Essex mansion where she lives with her mixed brood.
Stacey said: “The mixed family situation has been a rocky road.
“That has never been easy.”
She continued: “We’ve always had to work really hard to make sure everyone feels safe.”
The presenter went into detail about how her and Joe’s eldest sons had overcome them with emotions during their recent marriage when they decided to give a speech about family life.
The couple’s wedding took place in the garden of their childhood home.
Stacey said, “It was so funny we didn’t tell the boys to give a speech.
“Joe was an emotional mess all day. People came up to me and said, ‘Joe is a mess down there’.”
In August, at the time of the wedding, Stacey shared online how proud she was of the boys and their speeches as she posted a flowing and heartfelt tribute to them, thanking them for the role they played on the big day.
She wrote: “I can’t even describe the feeling we get when we see how kind, mature, happy and caring you all are. Your speeches were everything.
“We love you all so much more than you will ever know. To the moon and back forever guys [black love-heart emojis] @realjoeswashy.”
Elsewhere in the podcast interview, she shared her shock at the boys’ involvement in the big day.
She added to the hosts: “They never say anything! Especially teenage boys. They never tell you how they feel or what they think about something, so it was very emotional to hear what they have to say.”
