It’s not October yet Fortnite is believed to have two horror-themed crossovers on the horizon, including Stranger Things.
In 2019, Fortnite introduced some Stranger Things cosmetics as part of the show’s third season cross-promotion.
Given that the Netflix series is still a popular product, it makes perfect sense for them to collaborate again now, in the middle of the fourth and last to last season.
Although not officially confirmed yet, some data mining efforts seem to reveal evidence of a second crossover prior to the second half of the season, when it debuts this week.
As part of the last Fortnite update, somewhere in the code there is an encrypted set known only as Waffle Warrior. What does this have to do with Stranger Things? Now, waffles are the favorite food of Eleven, the supernatural power of the series.
If this turns out to be the case, Season 4 will be back again on Friday the 1st of July, so this next Stranger Things cosmetic set may be available later next week.
This theory was shared by Fortnite Leaker FNBRIntel On Twitter, though they think it’s a stretch and could be referencing something else entirely.
This isn’t the only recent Fortnite rumors. Another leaker, Shiina BRClaims that evidence has been sent that the battle royale intersects with another horror-themed property, DeadByDaylight.
They shared some images given. One is the Fortnite skin of Meg Thomas, one of the original survivor characters of Dead By Daylight, and the other is the Fortnite llama charm of Dead By Daylight.
It’s completely believable because Fortnite has already added cosmetics based on other popular online multiplayer games like Among Us.
Dead By Daylight isn’t a stranger to crossovers, but it’s limited to Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and, by chance, other horror franchises like Stranger Things.
I’m not afraid to be ridiculous, as evidenced by the highly realistic announcement of a romance simulation spin-off that can romance some of the game’s serial killers.
Fortnite is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
