Noah Schnapp has his Doja Cat drama after he shared DMs she sent him about co-star Joseph Quinn.
The 17-year-old Weird stuff star – who plays Will Byers in the hit Netflix show – was blasted by the 26-year-old singer after sharing their private messages asking him that set her up with the Eddie Munson actor.
Since then he has TikTok to reveal he apologized and cleared the air, insisting there were ‘no hard feelings’.
Now he has explained to: Variety“Yeah, I mean, look, I’m super serious on social media and pretty wacky, so I didn’t post that too much thought, but it obviously hurt her feelings.
“So, as it should be, I apologized and she was totally fine with it, saying, ‘I’m sorry for the way I reacted.’ It was all good. I love her. I am the biggest fan of her music and I told her so. I was like, you are literally my role model.
‘It’s all right. People make such a big deal of it when it’s on the internet, but in reality it’s a matter of two minutes.’
The Need To Know star had initially messaged him, “Noah, can you tell Joseph to call me,” before adding, “Wait no. does he have a girlfriend [girlfriend]?’
Noah then replied: ‘LMAOO slide in his dms’, to which Doja wrote: ‘idk [I don’t know] are IG or Twitter. Doesn’t have a DM to slide in,” before Noah sent her his page.
He then shared the posts on TikTok, leading to Doja urging him to post them without her permission.
Things got a little awkward after she called him out in public, even referring to his actions as “borderline snake s**t.”
She lost more than 200,000 followers after telling her Instagram followers, “I think to be honest, let’s take it easy first. Like Noah’s a kid, but I don’t even know how old he is, but he’s not even over yet – like there’s no way he’s over 21.
“But when you’re that young, you make mistakes. you do stupid st. I try to be super honest. You do stupid things, you say stupid things, you fucking relationships with people. You make mistakes.’
She added: “The fact that Noah did that, as if he was posting a private conversation between me and him, is so incredibly socially oblivious and whack.
“That’s like borderline snakes**t, that’s like weasels**t. And I’m not saying that encapsulates his whole personality—as if that’s not how I imagine Noah.’
However, Noah later reassured fans that they had figured it out when he shared a new TikTok video in which he did some quick math using a filter set to Doja’s song Kiss Me More.
He added: ‘Guys, everything is fine, I have apologized and I still follow her and love her music, no hard feelings.’
