Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer teased that their potential spin-off would completely surprise fans.
Before saying goodbye, there’s still the second half of season 4 and season 5 of my beloved Millie Bobby Brown sci-fi drama, but Showrunner is excited to expand the universe with new projects.
They are currently waiting for a green light on Netflix, but Ross has revealed that they are preparing to dive into it.
“In fact, as soon as I finish these visual effects and finish, I think I’ll start digging into it. Matt and I will start working on it,” he said.
Matt added: “The reason we didn’t do anything is because you don’t want to do it for the wrong reason. Stranger Things?
‘And definitely. Even if I remove the Stranger Things title, I’m very excited. “
Matt continued the variety: “But it’s not … it’s not what everyone expects, including Netflix.”
Stranger Things Season 5 was announced earlier this year as the final chapter of the show. The Duffer brothers didn’t fully confirm the spin-off at the time, but teased that “there are still many exciting stories to tell.”
Ross and Matt confirmed the outcome and stated in a statement: ‘7 years ago, we planned a complete story arc for Stranger Things. At that time, we expected the story to last four to five seasons.
“We couldn’t put it all together in four because it was too big, but as you can see, we are now in a hurry towards the finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season. Season 5 Is the last. “
Then they made fun of:’There are still many exciting stories in the world of’Stranger Things’. A new mystery, a new adventure, a new surprising hero.
“First, a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friend, a broken police chief and a ferocious mother, a small town called Hawkins, and upside down.
“As always, we thank you for your patience and support.”
Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 will be available on Netflix on July 1st.
