SwitchBot makes some pretty versatile hardware for setting up a smart homeand in addition to the usual range of cameras and switches, it also offers solutions for things like Make your blinds smartToday, however, we're taking a look at the latest robot vacuum offering, with the launch of the Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ Pro.

The basic idea behind SwitchBot’s approach to designing a robot vacuum as small as this one makes perfect sense: a smaller diameter means the vacuum can fit into tight spaces and get just a little bit closer to the edges of the area you’re cleaning. Like the original K10+, the new Pro model launching today is just 24.8cm wide.

Compared to that existing model, the Pro rolls out a few upgrades. First, SwitchBot expands the K10+’s laser-based object avoidance system with a new Position Sensitive Detector (PSD) sensor, helping the vacuum better navigate unexpected obstacles — and fewer bumps into things result in a quieter vacuuming experience. Performance gets a nice little boost, with suction power up from 2,500 pascals to 3,000 pascals. And the inclusion of a rubber de-tangling brush should be welcome news for owners of shedding pets.

There’s the same large 4-liter dust bag in the unit’s base, which SwitchBot claims is big enough to only need emptying once every 90 days, and for the Pro model, it gets a new antibacterial treatment. And like the regular K10+, the Pro stands just 92mm tall, allowing it to slide under plenty of furniture.

How much will these improvements cost you? Well, the original K10+ retails for around $400, and the K10+ Pro launches for around $600. If you're a little hesitant about that price, how does this sound: you can get $180 off your purchase right now, effectively bringing the K10+ Pro down to just $420.
