A teenager was seriously injured after being hit by a car on a road in Lower Hutt, police say.
The accident happened at 3:10pm on Knights Rd near Colin Grove on Thursday.
A spokesman for the Wellington Free Ambulance said a crew member transported a patient in serious condition to Hutt Hospital’s emergency department.
The road was reopened around 4:45 p.m. after the accident, police said.
