This is the shocking moment when a “terrified” mother and her child are held at knifepoint after thugs broke into her home demanding money before fleeing the scene.

The victim, a 22-year-old woman, was in her southwest London home when two men knocked on her door just before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, and forced their way in.

The woman, holding her child, was forced into the kitchen with a knife by one of the men in a blue Tesco jacket, who demanded money before they both fled.

Detectives have now released footage of two men they are trying to trace after breaking into the victim’s home.

It is believed nothing was stolen and there are no reports of injuries.

Detectives from the South West Command Unit are conducting a number of inquiries.

Detective Sergeant Cerith Jones, investigator, said: ‘The community will be shocked by this terrible incident and I know many people will want to reach out and help us identify them.

“I urge locals to check your doorbell and dashcam footage for any material that could help us. If you are in the area and you see two men acting suspiciously or running away, we would like to hear from you.

“The young woman was terrified and it is imperative that we catch the men responsible.”

The police will patrol the area in the coming days to reassure residents.
