The All-Clad Factory Seconds Sale ends July 13th

All-Clad cookware comes very recommended by WIRED reviewers and culinary experts equal. The company’s pots, pans and other kitchenware, made largely of stainless steel, are both durable and reliable. Keep in mind the lifetime warranty that applies to most of the lineup, and it’s easy to see why people think the investment is worth it.

That investment is usually quite substantial, but at the moment the All Clad Factory Seconds Sale offers up to 50 percent off a wide variety of imperfect (but still functional!) cookware. This event only happens a few times a year. The deals run through July 13, just like Amazon Prime Day and its many competing sales.

You must enter your email address to access the deals. Please note that all sales are final. Flat rate shipping costs $8 and items ship within 10-15 business days.

What are factory seconds?

The Factory Seconds Sale is led by Home and Cook Sales, an authorized reseller of All-Clad and several other brands of cookware. The items on sale are items with (usually) minor imperfections, such as a scratch on the pan, a misaligned name stamp or, in some cases, just a dented box. Each product on the website has details about the imperfection.

While imperfections may vary, the retailer says all cookware will perform as intended. Should a problem arise, almost every All-Clad Factory Seconds product is still covered by the All-Clad Limited Lifetime Warranty. (Electrical items have a slightly different warranty. See individual product pages for details.) I’ve personally used a dozen Factory Seconds pots and pans, and they’ve all worked exactly as advertised. Remember that all sales are final.

All-Clad Essentials Pan

Photo: Williams Sonoma

This pan lives up to its name. We recommend it in our guide to the only pots and pans you need in your kitchen. The shape makes it possible to bake, roast, sauce and even bake. It is safe for both the oven and the dishwasher. The listing says this pan is second grade (meaning a physical imperfection). A smaller size is available! with packaging damage for the same price.

My household often grills, and this pan has been a staple since it first arrived. There are small holes in the bottom making it suitable for even grilling or smoking delicate or finicky items such as asparagus, fruit or fish. I like the handles, which are big enough to carry the basket inside without worrying about spills or burns. The offer mentions packaging damage.

Every All-Clad casserole I’ve tried has been shallower and wider than other brands’ pans. The shape is unique, with gently curved sides that make it easy to whip up a pan sauce or turn food with a spatula. The 8-inch size linked here is a good choice if you’re not sure. The listing mentions Second Quality so there is some sort of physical blemish.

In my opinion, electric countertop griddles are an abomination. They take up so much space! All so that we can bake pancakes in larger quantities? Enough. Put this square griddle on your stovetop and it will do the same thing as the giant electric version that currently takes up an entire shelf of your cabinet. In addition to pancakes, these types of baking trays are also very suitable for toasted sandwiches. The offer mentions packaging damage.
