A flock of wild birds has confused people, tearing up their gardens and making a racket.
The 100-strong link of crazy chickens live wild in the forest near a village.
Fed up residents say their constant clucking and crowing drives them to distraction.
The feathered devils also dig up gardens, while left out food has led to a rat plague.
Company director Ben King, 48, lives near the pesky poultry in Snettisham, Norfolkand says he needs earplugs to sleep at night.
“They are out of control,” he added.
Parish councilor Rod Mackenzie added: “They are annoying. If they are in your garden they dig up everything.”
He said visitors who left food for the birds were also encouraging rats.
Mr Mackenzie said: “It's not just food for the chickens, it's every piece of rubbish they can find and that brings rats.
“Someone left a gallon of pink shrimp last week. The rats here are quite big and reproduce like crazy.”
After complaints, the parish council agreed to consult on a chicken relocation charity for help and has put up signs asking them not to feed the birds.
But other residents have defended the chickens.
Graeme McQuade, 43, said they “give character to the place”.
Another neighbor added: 'There are more important things in the world than a few chickens. They need to get a life.”
In 2020, South Norfolk Council threatened residents with an £80 fine if they fed 200 wild chickens living on a housing estate in Diss.
