A police officer has given a shocking statement after asking a fellow officer for help when he locked himself in his patrol car with a female suspect who said she was “freaked out.”
San Diego Officer Anthony Hair claimed he accidentally locked himself in the back of his cruiser with a woman who had just been arrested.
Hair recently resigned amid an investigation that revealed he was not as innocent as he initially said.
The two-year veteran of the force was one of the few officers who arrested two suspects in a car theft on August 15, 2023. Hair was tasked with taking one of the detainees, an unknown woman, to police headquarters.
Minutes into the ride, the woman started talking to Hair and his body camera recorded the conversation.
'Are you married?' the woman asked.
Hair replied, “Why do you ask that?
'You're not that bad. How is it going to hurt me if I work with the system, you know what I mean?' said the woman. “That's how I see shit.”
