Ryan Fox cuts an unfortunate figure on the 16th green during his disappointing second round.

Top Kiwi Golfer Ryan Fox is at serious risk of missing activation The Open Championship at St Andrews.

Fox has a runoff three over, 75 in Scotland – highlighted by a double bogey on the par four 16th – to sit on two. It seems to be over the threshold of its weekend to continue.

But since Fox is one of the first starters in the second round, there is still a lot of water to go under the bridge. He is currently tied at 18 points for 101st place, but that will change as more players enter their second round. However, many experts predict that the magic sign is around even par, or possibly even -1.

On the bubble, tied with three holes to play, Fox’s double bogey was the critical moment in his attempt to still hold his own in round three.
