THE View host Whoopi Goldberg shocked viewers when she burped during an awkward moment on live TV.
The most recent episode of The View began with the hosts discussing gun control.
During the heated debate with co-hosts Ana Navarro, 50, and Sunny Hostin, 43, Whoopi, 66, asked what President Joe Biden could do right now “when we’ve had nothing done.”
The Ghost actress: “The question remains, what can he do? What’s missing here?”
She continued, “Should this power be in the hands of the president?”
While Ana replied “I think he’s doing what he can…” when Whoopi interrupted him and belched loudly.
Ana said, “Are you okay?”
Whoopi apologized and replied, “I was talking and burping at the same time.”
The audience laughed as the Sister Act star made fun of herself during the awkward moment.
Ana then went back to the gun control discussion.
WARDROBE PROBLEMS
This isn’t the only blunder the View host has faced recently.
Whoopi panicked on a recent episode after she got a wardrobe malfunction.
When she opened the show, the TV star seemed a little uneasy because she was leaning a bit to the side.
As a fan yelled, “We love you Whoopi,” the 66-year-old hostess replied with, “Thank you.”
She added: “I try to hold my stomach so I don’t pop my buttons.”
Her co-hosts laughed as she went on with the show and introduced the following guests.
As the show progressed, with the hosts having their discussion, the co-host sat herself in her chair and complained about the colorful wardrobe she was wearing.
Whoopi blurted out, “This thing is driving me crazy,” as she tried to fix her outfit.
Ana grinned at Whoopi’s shirt before returning to the subject.
JOY ABSENCE
The ladies of The View have returned to their New York City set after previously taking a trip to the Bahamas, where they celebrated 25 seasons of the daytime show.
Meanwhile, Joy Behar, 79, has recently been absent from the show.
Fans are in the dark about why she is missing.
Whoopi told viewers: “Joy ain’t out with COVID. She’s over something else, the flu, or maybe she’s pregnant, I don’t know.”
Viewers took to Twitter to share their well wishes for Joy, as one fan tweeted to her, “The show isn’t worth watching without you.”
Another fan chimed in: “Please come back to The View soon!”
