Timaru’s Artisan Farmers Market for fresh produce, arts and crafts is held on Saturdays from 9am to 12:30pm.

Friday

Morning connection: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Timaru District Library Community Hall. Resources to access provided by a Timaru District Council Creative Community grant. Bring any art/craft activity you are working on.

Friends Quiz: 7pm at the Playhouse, Church St, Timaru. Book a table from four to six to raise money for The Addams Family music theater performance. $10 per person. Award for best dressed. Book via: [email protected].

Saturday

portrait drawing: 9am at the Waimate Art Society, first day of a two day workshop to learn creative basics – tone and color. The second day is on July 16. Facilitated by artist Heather Campbell, the workshop is open to anyone 15 years of age or older. For more information email: [email protected].

Sunday

Nice points exchange: 7:30 am at 29 Maze Rd, Pleasant Point.

Kids Club Holidays: 2-4pm in the Armadillo Hall, Richard Pearse Tavern. Food and drink, kids face painting, kids club games. Free.

Violin Quartet: 3:00 PM at the Aigantighe Art Gallery, Impressions tour. Tickets available at the door, cash only.

Waitate Community Market: Saturdays from 9am to noon at Seddon Square in Waimate.

Geraldine craft and produce market: Every Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Cox St.

Art Gallery Aigantighe: Open from 12 noon to 4 pm, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

York Street Gallery of Fine Arts: Open Fridays and Saturdays 11am-3pm and by appointment at 21 York St, Timaru, Latest Stuart Mitchell Exhibition.

South Canterbury Museum: 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday with free entry. Two floors of exhibits on local wildlife, history and culture.
