This is how Shiba Inu is building a holistic empire

During its early days, Shiba Inu was mocked for being launched as a rival meme coin to Dogecoin. With time and delivering consistent progress, it managed to collect the “Doge-killer” tag.

While Dogecoin remains the captain of the meme coin ship, it has lost its luster lately. Development activity continues to hover around annual lows. Without new updates, upgrades or launches, the token and its ecosystem will gradually lose usability. In fact, the Dogefather Musk also hasn’t been able to do much to strengthen his fundamental legs.

On the other hand, Shiba Inu is making consistent progress. The team behind the project delivers and new elements are regularly introduced into the ecosystem.

The community’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has always kept the community informed of the updates in the pipeline. The project launched its own DEX last year. And then, in January of this year, it stepped into the metaverse. A few months later, the land coins also went live.

What’s next?

Currently, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 solution Shibarium is in the works and is expected to make its debut in the third quarter of 2022. Recently, the Shiba Inu developer confirmed that everything was on track, without revealing a public beta launch date.

At the same time, a group of developers submitted a version of Shiba Inu’s native stablecoin, SHI. The same aims to combat the problems found in other algorithmic stablecoin projects. In addition, SHI would be used to both counter and offset payments without market fluctuations. Kusama confirmed that SHI is on track to be released this year.

The developers are also “quietly” designing a brand new reward token called TREAT. Unlike other Shiba Inu tokens, TREAT would entail a limited supply. In addition, TREAT’s use case would not be limited to just Shibarium. It would also be used to balance SHI.

In addition, a Shiba Inu card game is also being developed. Both Playside and Shiba Games will soon begin testing and preparing for the project’s launch.

However, not everything has gone smoothly for Shiba Inu. The developer revealed in his recent blog post that the metaverse tangents are developing more slowly than expected. Well, the hiccups are an essential part of the building process. As long as consistent progress is made without developers giving up, there’s not much to worry about.

Shiba Inu rules in his own realm

Taking into account all the launches and sub-projects that are being developed, it becomes quite clear that Shiba Inu is building a holistic, self-sufficient empire for itself. Going forward, users won’t have to peek outside, because everyone’s base – from investors and gamers to DeFi and tech enthusiasts – is covered. By doing all this, Shiba Inu also checks the decentralized box at the same time.

As indicated in the last blog post by Kusama,

“…the plan laid out by Ryoshi, our founder, is a strong plan that will survive most problems because it is rooted in real ethical perspectives to give power to “the people” and do so with decentralized technologies and IRL projects.”
