Overwashing is filthy. Combine it with dirt and debris, and AirPods can get dirty in a hurry. This tool makes it easier than ever to safely clean your AirPods, AirPods Pro or other in-ear earbuds.
Earbuds, especially Apple’s all-white AirPods, have a tendency to get dirty. Earwax is constantly regenerated within your ear canals, so some always manage to get on the lumps no matter how often you clean your ears.
Similarly, your ears have a lot of natural oils that get on your earplugs which will then attract other lint and debris. At the same time, the tight corners and holes make it difficult for typical cleaning tools to be effective.
For this purpose, many users have come up with their own solutions to keep them clean, such as canned air, cotton swabs, alcohol towels, microfiber towels or a combination of the four.
There is a better option.
This strange tool from Hagibis – although there are similar brands – was created to help deal with these common problems.
It is a two-sided device with three tools built-in. One side is a long microfiber pipe cleaner-like end. It is soft, and dirt sticks to it, similar to a duster.
The waist can then be pulled out and turned over to reveal the other pair of tools. One of the tools looks like a ballpoint pen – without ink – and the other is a small brush with soft – yet stiff – hair.
We clean our earplugs
The microfiber pipe cleaner end is perfect if you need to clean your AirPods case. It’s long enough to get into the deep drawer holes on the inside of the suitcase.
For the earplugs, we use the precision tool on the other side. With AirPods Pro, we run the metal tip around the inside edge of the silicone tip to get anything off the sides. If the grid looks dirty, you can use the metal tip to softly rub against the gauze to carefully remove any debris.
Finally, on any earbuds, including the third generation AirPods, you can use the small brush to get any residual dirt off the end of the earbuds.
Not everyone needs a dedicated cleaning tool, but if you want to make sure your earplugs are as clean as possible, you can try this tool. Amazon has them available for about $ 9. However, they are currently on sale with a 5% discount coupon.
