Police in New Zealand have so far found 41 chunks of methamphetamine in sweet wrappers – each containing a potentially lethal amount of the drug – that were unknowingly distributed by an Auckland food bank.

Authorities were collecting two dozen more contaminated candies from citizens late Friday night, police said in a statement, bringing the total number of candies accidentally distributed in food parcels to at least 65.
