A toddler from New Zealand has gone viral for his attempt to keep and gather sheep.
Wee Freddie, known on TikTok as Farmerfreddie5, is arguably New Zealand’s youngest and sharpest farmer.
And now he has captured the hearts of TikTokers in an adorable video posted by his parents in an effort to wrangle pesky sheep.
With over 200,000 views and at least 20,000 likes, the video shows the boy collecting two lambs in a pen before managing to grab one and yell, “I’ve got one!” to his parents.
Then he proudly turns to see if his fellow farmers could see his successful attempt. “I’ve got one, Ryan”, the boy yells again to which the man behind the camera replied: “Ah well, keep it there”,
A second lamb—escaping the eager boy’s soft sob—watched before it started. Freddie then turned to look at the lamb and quietly turned back, quickly winning the hearts of hundreds of people in the comment section.
Viewers of the sweet interaction gushed over the capable toddler.
One said “his little baa at the end with the other lamb is the cutest” while the other said “Ah my ovaries. Too cute!”
Another noted the child’s farming potential, saying “shearer in the making”, and a second person agreed: “oh a real farm boy”.
One woman said, “What a beautiful little fellow”.
The young farmer has his own TikTok page where his parents regularly document his adorable farming antics.
Another video shows a fearless Freddie telling his mother that he is “going to chase sheep” before jumping into a pen and with his hands on his hips leading the sheep to another pen.
He then confidently says to his mother: “Mommy, I have to shave one”.
