Olympic medal winners return home after successful Games Paris and some athletes were welcomed with huge prize money.
To the surprise of many, Britain was one of four countries alongside New Zealand, Sweden And Norway which did not pay out prize money to athletes if they won a medal at the Olympic Games this summer.
At the other end of the spectrum, Hong Kong led the way in handing out the most prize money, with HK$6 million (£599,000) awarded to each athlete who left Paris with a gold medal.
Cheung Ka-long and Vivian Kong Man-wai both won gold in fencing and top the prize money table of all athletes who competed in Paris.
In second place are the three gold-winning athletes from Taiwan – Lin Yu-ting, Wang Chi-lin and Lee Yang – who received NT$20 million (£481,000) for their first podium finish.
Philippines' new star gymnast Carlos Yulo is third in the rankings and is the athlete who has won more than one medal at the Olympic Games this summer and has therefore won the most prize money.
The 24-year-old, born in Manila, received 20 million Philippine pesos (£273,000) for his two gold medals, plus a further six million Philippine pesos (£82,000) as a gift from the House of Representatives.
The three Iranian gold medallists – Saeid Esmaeili Leivesi, Arian Salimi and Saravi Mohammadhadi – finished fourth in the prize money table, having each received 18 billion tomans (£332,000) from their country.

Leon Marchand, France's Olympic figurehead, is the second-highest winner of prize money among all athletes who won more than one medal this summer.
The French swimmer received €80,000 (£68,500) for each of his four gold medals, plus an additional €20,000 (£17,000).
In sixth place is the trio of gold medalists from Georgia – Lasha Bekauri, Geno Petriashvili and Lasha Talakhadze – each received one million Georgian lari, which is approximately £289,000.
In seventh place are Rizki Juniansyah and Veddriq Leonardo, who both won a gold medal for Indonesia and earned five billion Indonesian rupiah (£248,000).
Tamara Csipes from Hungary won two silver medals and one bronze in canoeing and is ranked eighth in the prize money table. For each silver medal, Hungarian athletes received HUF 39.27 million (£85,000), while a bronze medal is worth HUF 32.35 million (£70,000).
There were four Turkish athletes who shared ninth place in the prize money table, including their viral pistol shooter Yusuf DikecFor each silver medal, Turkey awarded its athletes 600 Turkish lira worth of Republic of Gold – a government-issued currency worth approximately £235,000.
In tenth place is Italian star gymnast Alice D'Amato, who won one gold and one silver medal in Paris. For each gold medal winner, Italy pays its athletes €180,000 (£154,000), while each silver medal is worth €90,000 (£77,000).
