BORIS Johnson has told his army of fans to stop bombing Tory headquarters with feverish demands to put him on the leadership ballot.

His closest ally Nadine Dorries passed on the message from the prime minister yesterday that supporters had to accept he was resigning.

More than 14,000 people are believed to have written to Conservative bosses in an effort to keep Female at no. 10.

Asked about the growing petition, the culture minister revealed that the prime minister had told her: ”If you hear anything about these peopleā€¦ tell them to stop, it’s not right’. They were his words, his exact words .”
