TORY voters see Rishi Sunak as rich and untrustworthy, but he is still the best choice to become the next prime minister.
A third (34 percent) believe the ex-chancellor should get the top job, according to The Sun’s analysis.
He gave a big lead over Penny Mordaunt at 19 percent.
Liz Truss got 15 percent according to polls from Bradshaw Advisory.
Brits labeled both Mrs Truss and Mrs Mordaunt as happy and strong leaders.
Outsider Kemi Badenoch was seen as young, friendly and smart, but unknown to the electorate, at only seven percent.
And 20 percent had no idea who they wanted to be the next Tory boss, or chose “none of the above.”
Bradshaw Advisory’s Tom Lees said: “Rishi Sunak is the clear pick for the next leader, although Penny Mordaunt wins on individual traits such as a “natural leader” or “decisive”.
“Liz Truss is significantly behind these two candidates.”
