The TRAVEL woes will continue into next month as more strikes have been announced as passengers will face further disruptions this week.
Network Rail is currently working to clear a huge backlog caused by yesterday’s crippling 24-hour strike, creating more travel delays to customers.
Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) of Network Rail and 14 train companies resigned on Wednesday in a long-running dispute over jobs, wages and working conditions.
Talks are expected to resume on Thursday, but there are few signs of breaking the deadlock.
And on Saturday and next month there will be MORE strikes by both the RMT and members of the drivers’ union Aslef and the Transport Salried Staffs Association.
The Aslef union announced another massive rail strike next month.
on August 13nine rail groups will walk away because of pay differences.
Chiltern, Northern and TransPennine Express train drivers have until August 25 to vote on further strike action.
Things will get worse for commuters next month, as the RMT has already announced two new days of rail strikes for August 18 and 20.
