ONE WOMAN has been described as “like no other” by her heartbroken family after her death in a paddleboard accident.

Emma Louise Powell, 24, was paddle boarding with two friends on a North Wales beautyspot last night when they got into trouble on the water.

A major rescue operation was launched by the emergency services and the three were pulled from the water at Conwy Morfa beach.

But tragically, Emma, ​​from Llandudno, died in the early morning hours in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.

Her devastated family has now hailed her as a “happy go lucky” woman as they thanked friends and loved ones for their messages of support in an emotional post.

They are now raising money to go to Emma’s funeral – with over £1,200 already donated.

Emergency services said an “extensive search and rescue mission” was underway to help the trio.

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We received a call
at 10:14 pm last night (Thursday) report of a group of paddleboarders
in trouble in the water at Conwy Morfa.

A Coast Guard spokesman added: “An extensive search and rescue has been launched after three people got into trouble at Beacons Jetty, Conwy last night.
